Newmarket Hydro Announces Participation in enerShift® Demand Response Program

The Ontario Power Authority has identified Northern York Region as a “constrained power” service area.

Several initiatives have been undertaken to meet current and future power requirements.

Community leaders like Southlake Health Center, Magna International, Region of York and Town of Newmarket are helping to keep the lights by participating in the enerShift® Demand Response Program.

Rodan Energy & Metering Solutions, in partnership with the Ontario Power Authority and Newmarket Hydro, is offering their enerShift® Demand Response program to large electrical users to help lower peak electrical usage at critical times. Organizations that can reduce electricity use on demand can earn regular cash payments for supporting electrical reliability in our community. It’s a win-win for everyone!
